What's it all about?

You might have a build up of life experiences or something might have happened that has triggered a sudden change in you that's brought you here. Whatever's going for you, I'm here to help; you can talk to me about anything that is going on in your life. I'll be with you through these thoughts and feelings; working together we can face these things in the way that is right for you.

I know that starting counselling can be nerve wracking, especially if it's a new experience for you or if your pot of energy feels nearly empty.
It’s ok to be unsure if counselling is something that you want or need;
It’s ok to feel scared or fearful of what you may need to face;
It’s ok to question if you have the strength to go through this process.

Together we will take things at the speed that is right for you, to help you to feel like you again.
My first job when we meet is to make you feel welcome and safe. We will work together to help you make sense of things that are going on in your life and understand yourself better. Helping you to resolve complicated feelings, or find ways to live with them, you may also recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act, and find ways to change them. We will talk, laugh, cry and maybe swear a little whilst untangling experiences, thoughts and emotions.
I'll check in with you regularly and we'll take things at a speed that is right for you. I'll meet you with kindness and honesty and hear you without judgement.
